"Tethys"
  • Type: Tactical, Collectors, Fantasy, Fighting, Art Knife
  • Size: Length overall: 11.2" (28.4 cm), Blade Length: 5.75" (14.6 cm), Thickness: .250" (6.3 mm)
  • Blade: 440c High Chromium Martensitic Stainless Tool Steel, Hardened and Tempered to Rc58, Double Hollow Ground, Mirror Finished
  • Fittings/Bolsters: 304 Austenitic Stainless Steel, mirror polished
  • Handle: Polished Labradorite Gemstone
  • Sheath: Blue Rayskin Inlaid in Hand-Tooled 9-10 oz. Leather Shoulder
  • Knife: Tethys is a stunning knife, wild in lines and a devastating study in grinds and edges. I started with 1/4" thick stock, meaty and solid, and ground all hollows with a 3" contact wheel for a super thin edge and a very heavy spine. Even the inside curve is hollow ground, a difficult process that you will rarely see on any knife. The straight length of the edge is serrations and flat edges alternating, a different kind of aggressive edge that is downright hostile. I call it Barracuda; style, and it's like tiny knives separated by gut hooks. The knife is full tang, slightly tapered, one solid piece from tip to tip, and has a persuader tip on the smoothed and beveled finger ring that supports the thumb and moves an opponent along pugnaciously. The full filework style is laying leaves, and is engraved as well as sculpted. The bolsters are 304 stainless steel, super tough with 25% chromium and 8% nickel. They're double pinned and peened to the tang for a seamless fit. The handle scales are Labradorite gemstone, the only mineral that displays a semi-transparent light play called labradoressence, and colors range from blue to green. The play and pattern is completely different viewed from both sides, even though the material was cut from the same chunk of gem.
  • Sheath: This knife had to have an unforgettable sheath, so the curves of the blade are echoed in the inlays of blue rayskin, 11 total, that swell up from the front and back of the hand-tooled, hand-stitched leather shoulder, lacquered and sealed.
  • A one of a kind futuristic tactical that won't be ignored!

Thanks, P.K.!
