Mercury Magnum: fine tactical tanto custom knife

One of a trio of knives commissioned by a client for his closest friends, the Mercury Magnum is a hefty tactical style knife, a design submitted by and made for law enforcement SWAT teams. This serious tanto style blade has an aggressive point and is hollow ground throughout for a devastating sharp edge. The blade has a half-length top swage to reduce point profile, and plenty of spine thickness to support the cutting edge and tip. The blade design has a useful thumb rise for control, and the fully tapered tang is fileworked completely. The handle shape has substantial quillons for security and a good belly for comfort. The handle has 304 high nickel, high chromium bolsters for supreme toughness and zero care, and the handle is striking Red Leopard Skin Jasper gemstone, which is tough and durable.

The sheath he requested is a straightforward hand-tooled basketweave design, made for crossdraw from the left side, blade down, and has plenty of thickness in 9-10 oz. leather shoulder, hand-stitched with polyester sinew, dyed, lacquered, and sealed.

One of a beautiful trio of knives for a great client with lucky friends!

Thanks, P. W.!

They are beautiful. Thank you for the fine craftsmanship.
