"Maginus-Nasmyth" Fine Handmade Custom Khukri
  • Size: Length Overall: 18" (45.7 cm), Blade Length: 12.5" (26.7 cm), Thickness: .250" (6.4 cm)
  • Blade: Hollow ground, bead blasted 440C high chromium martensitic stainless steel
  • Bolsters/Fittings: Nickel Silver
  • Handle: Nephrite Jade Gemstone, Inlaid African Blackwood Hardwood palm ring
  • Sheath: Hand-stamped leather shoulder, inlaid with faux lizard skin
  • Knife: This khukri is finely made to custom order. The hollow ground blade is made of high chromium 440C martensitic stainless tool steel, with filework, and a traditional "cho" at the start of the grind. The knife is a full tang, one solid piece of 1/4" thick steel from tip to tip. The tang is fully tapered for balance. The bolsters are nickel silver for a warm, corrosion-resistant finish. The handle scales are very tough Nephrite Jade gemstone. In the center of the handle is a traditional palm ring, and this one is made of African Blackwood hardwood. The ring mounting required special fitting, as this is a full tang knife, not a weaker hidden tang. The ring is inlaid with through-tang retention hidden pins in the hardwood and through the central nickel silver bolsters. The sheath is double stitched hand-tooled, and made of 9-10 oz. thick leather shoulder and inlaid with tough faux lizard skin panels.

Thanks, C.W.!
